What The Parents Had to say
..
Just wanted to drop you a line to say how wonderful the show was last night.
It's obvious that everyone had worked extremely hard to deliver such a
professional show. Well done to all the girls and well done to you too. The
choreography was excellent. Now I don't know much about dancing but on a
personal note you were fabulous - well done.
Guy
WOW! I am a fan.
Thank you so much, Jan, the show was staggering.
I just hope all those girls realise how lucky they are
to have such an inspirational teacher.
The overall standard was unbelievable and there were,
to my inexpert eye, several dancers with real potential
star quality. I have to admit, though, that I only noticed
them when you weren't on stage with them! Your own
accuracy of line, timing and athleticism meant that I
could not help but follow you round the stage!
As for your first solo and Flamenco piece - worthy of an
international stage any day of the week.
I thought the running-order, music and costumes all worked
really well.
Hope you thought it went well and will repeat it soon.
Thanks a million.

hi Janet

Well done again!

What The Critic had to say
..
With a faultless blend of technique and attitude, "Controversy in Motion" led its audience through a broad range of emotions and reactions. From the poignant Too Much to say
to the tongue-in-cheek Look at Me, the dances were superbly choreographed to each dancer's strength. The girls glittered with enthusiasm and passion as they moved seamlessly from one dance to another. Choreographer and teacher Janet Vella performed an emotionally charged solo to Conversation with my 13 year old self by Pink and then moved back from the spotlight to let her students bask in the limelight. Soloists Sophie Ford and Blake Curtis Woodcock showed their talent and potential when they carried their pieces with grace, styleand fervour. The group all came together in the stunning Lament. The tight choreography and innovative use of space transcended the theatre itself and took the audience Classes will be held on Tuesday at
into another world and almost another time. Moving at breakneck speed, the show was unrelenting in its grasp of the audience's attention and most left waiting eagerly for the next one.
